Photodump

A month ago I crossed over to the dark side and traded in my old flip phone for a smartphone.  It took some getting used to, and a heck of a lot of coaxing from my sister but now I cant imagine life without it.  My calendar is at the tips of my fingers, and its so nice to travel with a camera so I can take pictures of my cute kids or the occasional black squirrel.  Here is a camera dump of some of those sweet boys of mine.

Vocabulary Parade

The boys had a vocabulary parade at school today. Here they are in their costumes. Gav's word was AVIATOR and Karter's word was PROFESSIONAL.

SWW

So what if I have a not so secret obsession with black squirrels, and so what if now my friends have started sending me pictures of them.  Sending me a black squirrel picture is the equivalent of sending be a giant bouquet of flowers.  (Unless you are Mr Smead, then the answer is ALWAYS flowers.)

So what if while at Walmart yesterday there was a Code Adam (missing child) alert.  I was worried because I couldn't imagine not being able to find one of my children in a giant supercenter such as Walmart. I also was feeling worried because the code Adam was for a little boy in a yellow sweatshirt named Max.... MY MAX!!!  That child is destined for great things... and I am destined for prematurely grey hair.

So what if I had dropped my car off to get a tired changed in the back of Walmart, and had to walk with the boys all the way to the front of the store to get a cart.  Right by the towels Luke tripped and laid on the floor, I turned around to grab him and when I turned back around Max was gone.  He had ran ahead and I couldn't find him anywhere.  After the code Adam was called (and I was running amok yelling "MAX!" a lady asked me if he was wearing yellow and told me that she saw a little guy riding a motorcycle in the arcade.  Sure enough, it was Max.  That child.

So what if I have 4 papers to write the next 2 weeks.  YUCK!

So what if I have a really bad attitude lately.  I need some prayers because I am even sick of myself.

A little photo timeline of the 6Smeads the last 3 Easters.

We had a nice and relaxing Easter this year, we woke up and got ready to go to the pancake breakfast at our church.  Nothing says Easter quite like eating a big breakfast with all of your church family.  If you don't have a church family I encourage you to find one.  I am sure when God woke me up that morning and told me I should go to church He knew what he was doing.  Our church is full of the kindest most genuine and real people I have ever met.  I sit in my seat each Sunday and can just FEEL that the Lord is RIGHT THERE! It blesses my socks off each week.

So after breakfast we went to church and then stopped at the store to get some food to throw on the grill.  The boys played outside with Scott while I did some homework (only 2 weeks left) and we went to Outback with my parents and my sister and brother-in-law for dinner.
What a great day to celebrate that Jesus has risen and He is ALIVE!!!

So What Wednesday

I love this blog.
I am so thankful for this little space of the internet where I can post my thoughts, my feelings and my opinions.  With that said...
  • So what if I remembered why I don't post hot topics on my facebook page.

  • So what if Mr. Smead worked 184 hours the last 2 weeks.  It is no wonder why last week I was a grouchy hag all week.  The kids were cranky and so was I.  I know its part of the gig, but it is a lot of work wrangling kiddos by myself.

  • So what if Luke is refusing to talk to his speech therapist.  We meet with her and he completely shuts down.  I know he can talk-- I have video proof-- he just wont and it is so frustrating.

  • So what if I recently spent $25 on "professional" shampoo and conditioner.  I immediately felt guilty about buying it so I counterbalanced my purchase with some suave so I wouldn't have to use my nice shampoo for days when I didn't have to go anywhere.

  • So what if I took Karter shopping last weekend and we had a great time.  I talked him into BWW's for lunch and promised he would like it... he actually LOVED it.  Sports and chicken strips- what else could a boy ask for??O

  • So what if I got the official letter that the babies were accepted into preschool this fall.  I cannot believe they will be three in a few short months and starting preschool.
  • So what if the babies got to go have a ride in daddy's new machine at work.  They had a great time and talked about it all day.
