SWW!

So what if I am busting out a new SWW banner...  I am not sure if I am going to keep it or not but I have been playing around with picmonkey lately in hopes to update some things around here!
So what if my life flashed before my eyes today and I was certain that I was going to see Jesus himself as soon as I turned on my hairdryer this morning.  You see, having twins is hard on hair dryers, I am on my third one since they have been born.  The other day I found it floating in the sink and I let it dry out and had every intention of just throwing it away and buying a new one.  But I didn't get to Target and I had to leave the house today so I was forced to use it.  I carefully plugged it in, and waited for the shock...nothing.  Then I turned it on and was certain death was looming. *insert life flashing before my eyes*  It started blowing away and ran like nothing had happened.  Suh-weet! I rather enjoyed not dying

So what if Luke and Max are officially potty trained!  They are on their second full week of wearing underoos during the day (we aren't quite ready to conquer night time yet) but they are doing great!

So what if potty training Luke and Max has caused me to have to get really creative when it comes to taking them potty.  Lets just say we have had to pee in the back-corner of nearly every parking lot in town.

So what if I am sporting some purple hair after my escapade last week.  I had a doctor appointment and Scott stayed home with the boys so I could have some alone time.  It was magical, I had lunch by myself and thought I would treat myself to a hair cut and color at the Aveda salon.  After all, what is more relaxing than having your hair done??  It most definitely wasn't relaxing when I thought she was putting in some fun purple-y foils and when I asked she said she was doing an all over color.  I panicked.  It turned out okay, but I am still not loving it.

So what if we are putting new windows in our house this weekend for a memorial day marriage counseling home improvement project weekend.  It should be interesting, so please pray everything goes smoothly.

So what if while taking the boys to the race this past weekend I came up with a truckload of material to write about for a blog post.  People watching is so interesting,

So what if I felt guilty for 5 whole seconds yesterday for not taking any summer classes until I realized just how much I have going on this summer. Not to mention we want to really work on our Smead family bucket list.

Late night thoughts...

It occurred to me, just mere seconds ago that there are days when I feel like I really have all my shit together.  I lay down in bed at night knowing that Scott's sandwiches are made for the next day, the house resembles something similar to picked up and the kids are tucked in bed with matching pajamas and their clothes laid out for the next morning.

And then there are days when I feel like someone hog-tied me up and threw me into a giant pile of shit.  And then sat on the bank and watched as I get myself to a standing position only to push me back over and laugh.

Today is one of THOSE days.

  • I stayed up way to late doing my homework (my fault)
  • Way too many people peed in their pants today.
  • I yelled too much.
  • My house looks like a crack house
  • I am way to tired to pack Scott's lunch.
  • I am washing a load of laundry so we all have something to wear tomorrow.
It's a really really good thing tomorrow is a new day!

SWW

So what if I have blogged 3 blogs in the last week but haven't hit publish because they aren't very nice.

So what if I had the flu straight from the spawn of satan this weekend and I haven't had anything to eat since Friday.

So what if I secretly wondered if I could keep not eating for 50 more days so I could lose some weight?

So what if I have one week left of classes and I cant find the motivation anywhere to finish.

So what if I really struggle with our schools and our local newspaper.  In one article they are doing so great  that schools from all over the country are asking for tips for how to be so great and in the next week's article the school is in such poor shape it would be forced to close in 3 years.

So what if I am not putting that ^^ on facebook because I don't need 700 people jumping on my case.  I love our town, I love living here and I rarely say anything bad about it.

So what if I need to find a rock and hide under there for a few days so I can have a time out. It may or may not have something to do with not eating anything for nearly 5 days.

So what if Luke is being a pain in the neck for speech therapy.  We started going to the school for therapy because he was being a stinker at home and not talking.  Today I took him in early and he was playing and talking with me like he does at home, until the therapist walked in and it was like they flipped a switch and he completely stopped making any noise.  She left and he started chatting again, she came back in-- silence.  Stubborn, stubborn little boy.  Any advice would be appreciated.  They even brought up a social anxiety disorder called "selective mutism." fabulous.

So what if I have a new favorite coffee spot. It has a drive thru and they have apple juice!  Win Win!

So what if Max has only had 1.5 accidents today.  Potty training has been more of a marathon than a sprint for us.

And so what if both boys have started standing to pee.. It is the cutest thing ever.

So what if I yelled to no one (because no one was listening) that I was going to get rid of all of the TVs in our house.  And you know what??? The idea is beginning to grow on me.  I am tired of negative news, I am tired of political ads, I am tired of the drama and the crap.  Is anyone out there a TV free household??
